Do you want to help build and develop physical security in one of Gothenburg City's most central operational environments? We are now looking for a Security Coordinator for a key role with significant responsibility and many points of contact.

The City Property Management is responsible for ensuring the sustainable usability of buildings over time with good technical condition and satisfied customers. This is achieved through close collaboration with tenants, other departments within the management, partners, and other organizations in the city. We are in an exciting development phase where the security unit is part of the Development and Control department. The unit consists of approximately ten employees working with civil preparedness, bomb shelters, drones, shell protection, as well as electrical safety, security protection, and insurance. The unit is in a renovation phase where civil preparedness issues are increasing, and we work in close cooperation with the City Executive Office.

Responsibilities

As a Security Coordinator, you will have a central role in the work with physical security at Traktören, our newly renovated office building that we are moving into during the autumn. The role is newly established and combines operational and coordinating tasks with the responsibility to ensure a uniform, legally secure, and robust security delivery for the operations in the building.

You coordinate the operations' needs within physical security and act as a link between operations, reception, security guards, the property owner, and other support and service functions. You are responsible for creating a holistic view, continuity, and clear working methods within the security area.

The assignment includes being a contact person for internal municipal actors, such as the City Executive Office and the Rescue Services, as well as external suppliers within guarding and security technology. You are also responsible for procurement, ordering, and management of guarding and security technology services, as well as monitoring associated operating costs and service agreements.

An important part of the role is the responsibility for access systems, locks, alarms, and permission management. You ensure that routines are followed, are responsible for registry maintenance, and act as the responsible person for permissions and keys. You also coordinate more technically advanced cases related to alarms, access systems, and door environments.

You are responsible for coordinating and monitoring systematic fire protection work (SBA), conducting evacuation drills, and acting as the fire protection responsible person for Traktören and its tenants.

The role also includes coordinating and developing security-related systems and technical solutions. You participate in requirement setting, ensure that changes are implemented with the correct security level, and contribute to the development of permission levels and security structure.

As a Security Coordinator, you coordinate the daily security delivery and act as the supervisor for hired security personnel. You monitor security reports and alarm logs and participate, if necessary, in assessments regarding enhanced security during special events.

Furthermore, you are responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing routines within physical security, and ensuring that the division of responsibility between operations, service functions, and the property owner is clear and documented. You also participate in the creation of governing documents and decision-making materials.

It may also become relevant to join the city's TIB function (Official on Call), which involves responsibility for the on-call phone during certain weeks of the year.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have relevant post-secondary education in areas such as civil preparedness, physical security, security protection, and crisis management.

You have a large and genuine interest in security issues, the ability to handle complex security challenges, and a drive to actively contribute to strengthening our resilience and supply security. You work result-oriented and structured, with a good ability to prioritize and deliver solutions among different cases and issues. With an independent and solution-oriented attitude, you tackle tasks in an efficient manner and simultaneously have good administrative and written skills.

As a person, you are structured and analytical, and have a solution-oriented approach. You have good communication skills both verbally and in writing. Thinking and acting long-term and strategically in these matters is a given for you. You collaborate well with others.

To succeed in the role, you need to have:

  • Documented experience of locks, alarms, access systems, security technology, and guarding services.
  • Experience with systematic fire protection work (SBA).
  • Fire protection training.
  • Driver's license category B
